Obituary of Jean LoPresti

Mrs. Jean (Grammatico) LoPresti, age 91, of Bethel passed away peacefully at the Regional Hospice in Danbury on Sunday July 2,2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Philip J. LoPresti, Sr.

Mrs. LoPresti was born April 2,1932 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Natale and May (Bottino) Grammatico. She was retired as the former co-owner and bookkeeper of Danbury Carting and was a communicant of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Bethel. She enjoyed cooking, traveling to Italy, the casinos and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. LoPresti is survived by her children: Laura Novella and her husband Anthony of Danbury, Philip J. LoPresti, Jr. of Bethel and JoAnne Barchi and her husband Kenneth of Redding, her grandchildren: Anthony Novella III, Ricky Novella, Mark Novella, Philip LoPresti III, Kristi LoPresti, Jake LoPresti, Erin Khuth, Katie Celentano and Adam Barchi, her great grandchildren: Adriana Novella, Chloe Novella, Eliana LoPresti, James LoPresti, Natalia LoPresti, Mason LoPresti, Valentina Khuth, Santino Khuth, Leena Celentano, Stella Celentano, Presley Celentano and Carmine Celentano and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother: Alfred V. Grammatico.

Mrs. LoPresti’s family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury on Friday July 7,2023 from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bethel.
