Obituary of Norma E. Visconti

Norma E. (Trott) Visconti, of Brookfield, died peacefully at New Milford Hospital on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 with her loving family by her side.  She rejoins the love of her life and beloved husband, Joseph Visconti, who predeceased her on May 4, 2023. 

Norma was born in Biddeford, Maine on March 21, 1943, daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Collins) Trott. 

She enjoyed working as a nurse’s aid for Fairfield Hills Psychiatric Hospital, where she and Joe met for the first time.  While at Fairfield Hills Norma was recognized by The Governor for her heroic actions during the devastating fire on January 06, 1974

Norma had a lifelong love of all animals and children.  There are countless children who were lucky enough to be cared for by Norma.

She became “Mema” to all who knew her

She will be sadly missed by her children, Kimberly Hall, David Visconti and his wife, Nicole, Marc Bennett, and Shawn Visconti and his fiancée, Naomi; her stepchildren, Cori Traverse and her husband, Scott, Valerie Visconti, and Dean Visconti and his wife, Lorraine. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth E. Trott and his wife, Greta and their children, and her very dear friend Ruth McCaffrey.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, June 9th at 4:00pm.  The family will receive friends between 4:00 – 7:00pm.
