Obituary of Rochi Demo

Bethel - Mr. Rochi J. Demo, age 90, of Bethel, died Sunday May 13, 2018 at the Bethel Health Care Center.

Mr. Demo was born April 14, 1928 in Danbury son of the late Michael and Rosa Antoinette (Palaise) Demo. He was retired as the owner, for many years, of Rochi's Sunoco in Danbury and also formerly worked at Ryder Dairy in Danbury. He was an avid restorer of vehicles and attended many antique car shows. He was a meticulous, blunt, opinionated, outspoken gentleman who cherished his family and silently helped out whenever needed. He was also a devoted son who took care of his Mother before she passed away.

Mr. Demo proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the United States Army, 160th Infantry and the 40th Infantry Regiments from 1950 - 1952 having attained the rank of Sergeant in May of 1952

Mr. Demo is survived by his brother: Julius F. Demo of Danbury and three generations of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four brothers: Joseph Demo, Nick Demo, Jack Demo and Peter Demo, a nephew: Peter Demo and a niece: Neddie Demo.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday May 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury.
