Obituary of Patrick Richard Lamparelli
Rick Lamparelli, 54, of Brookfield, beloved husband of Kathleen (McQuillan) Lamparelli, died peacefully at Regional Hospice and Palliative Care in Danbury. He was born in Danbury on February 26, 1964, son of the late Patrick and Antoinette (Muschelli) Lamparelli. He was a graduate of Brookfield High School, Class of 1983.
Rick was well known as a talented landscaper and was the founder and former owner of Sunburst Landscaping. His passion for landscaping continued in his career for the Town of Brookfield in park maintenance. He also enjoyed working with the Rizzo family through JAR Property Management.
Rick was an active member of the community. He was passionate about sports and loved supporting his daughters' in their activities. He was an avid bike rider and loved the outdoors. In his younger days, Rick enjoyed being surrounded by lifelong friends as a member of the Hi-Way Market softball team.
In addition to his high school sweetheart, his loving wife of 30 years, Kathy, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Amber and Ashley Lamparelli; his brother, Ret. Det. Joseph Lamparelli of the Brookfield Police Department; his sister, Patricia Warshauer and her husband, Jay; and 8 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws, James and Carole McQuillan; and brothers-in-law, Patrick and Brian McQuillan; and his faithful dog, Bailey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 17 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Tuesday between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm.
