Obituary of Alice May Neville
Alice May (Waterhouse) Neville, 82, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Arthur Neville, died peacefully at Masonicare of Newtown on Wednesday, November 16th. She was born in Norwalk on January 3, 1934, daughter of the late John and Ottilia (Artman) Waterhouse. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a member of the Women’s Service Organization.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She also enjoyed working part-time as a cashier for A&P on North Street in Danbury.
She will be sadly missed by her six children, David and his wife, Susan, William and his wife, Karen, Mark and his wife, Heidi, Jeffrey, Christopher and his wife, Karie, and Laurie and her husband, Gary Goetz; her fifteen grandchildren, Charlotte, Noelle, Cathy, Michael, Billy, Bonnie, Nicholle, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Ashley, Michelle, Phoebe, Lyndsey, Alyssa, and Carly; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, James Neville; brother, John Waterhouse; and her sisters, Mildred Salerno and Gertrude Popp.
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, November 19th at 12:00pm with Pastor Walter Harper of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning between the hours of 11:00am and 12:00pm.
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
