Obituary of Michael Wayne Riley, Sr.
Michael Wayne Riley, Sr., 71, of West Haven, died at Connecticut Hospice in Branford on Wednesday, June 15th. He was born in Bridgeport on February 1, 1945, son of Rose (Gully) Riley and the late Joseph Riley. Mr. Riley was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
Wayne was an avid gardener who took great pride in his flower gardens. He was true "foodie" who loved to prepare and share delicious meals. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Michael W. Riley, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of New Milford; his daughter, Rachel McCormick and her husband, James of East Hampton; and his two grandchildren, Brandon Riley and Riley McCormick; his brothers, Dennis Riley and his wife, Carol of Redding, and Douglas Riley and his wife, Michelle of Ellington. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Christine Paris; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Saturday, June 18th at 3:30pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday between the hours of 1:30 and 3:30pm.
