Obituary of Sally G. Holomany

Sally G. Holomany January 19, 1929 - October 20, 2009 Sally G. Holomany, age 80, of Danbury, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Danbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of William J. Holomany, Ret. Sgt. DPD. Mrs. Holomany was born in Danbury on January 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Chester and Harriet (Chambers) Smith. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1947. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the Germantown Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband of 58 years, William, she is survived by 2 daughters: Debra and Douglas Novella of Woodbury and Betsy Burtnik of Danbury;2 grandchildren: Bryan and Matthew Novella; a brother Chester Smith, Jr. and his wife Rita of Southbury and a sister: Patricia Best and her husband Lloyd of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-on-law, Ted Burtnik. Funeral Information The funeral service will held on Friday at 7:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Entombment of her cremains will take place at Wooster Mausoleum at a date and time to be announced.
