Obituary of Lorraine M. Holick

Lorraine M. Holick February 25, 1934 - January 11, 2006 Lorraine M. (Brousseau) Holick, 71, devoted wife of Martin J. Holick, Sr., began her journey Home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 11th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Danbury on February 25, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Tomanio) Brousseau. Mrs. Holick made her home in Danbury until her retirement to Florida seven years ago. She worked as a medical records secretary for Associated Internists of Danbury. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Florida and was a past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed being creative with oil painting and taking painting classes in Florida. Her creativity extended to her cooking. She loved to try new recipes and share her delicious dishes with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bocce with her friends in Florida. In addition to her husband of 49 years, Martin; she will be sadly missed by her beloved children, Martin Holick, Jr. of Danbury, Karen Merritt of New Milford, Lori Raya and her husband Freddie of Danbury, and Patti Margres and her husband, Jack of Danbury; her grandchildren, Alison, Chad, Bryan and Kayla Merritt, Fred, Joseph, and Daniel Raya, and Christopher Margres. She is also survived by her extended family, George and Shirley Holick, Robert and Mary Holick, Joan and Jack Burlinson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 44 Spring Street, Danbury, on Monday, January 16th at 11:00am with Pastor Allen German officiating. Cremation and burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, January 15th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
