On Tuesday September 30th, our father, son, brother, nephew and friend Adam R. Hicks, age 37 of Meriden, left this earth to go to heaven. He was the husband of Erica (Holbert) Hicks of Meriden.
Adam was born July 25, 1977 in Danbury the son of Robin Zigray of Danbury and the late Anthony Hicks Sr. Adam was employed as a carpenter, and was a partner with TPR Construction of Meriden. He was an avid motorcyclist, and loved to ride with his brothers from the Meriden Clubhouse of the Diablo Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his wife and mother, Adam leaves behind his five children: Madison R. Hicks of Meriden, Zoe R. Hicks of Danbury, Renee Sturges of Bethel, Cassandra Jones of Danbury, and Adam Hicks Jr of Northport, FL. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: William Smeriglio of Danbury, Tony Hicks Jr. of Terryville, Andrea Kablen of Naugatuck, Somer Salazar of Naugatuck, and Curtis Hicks of Waterbury, his stepmother Gina Hicks of Newtown, as well as many first and second cousins. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street Danbury on Sunday October 5th from 1 to 4 pm. Cremation arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family.
