Robert Stanley Ferris
February 22, 1940 - June 10, 2011
Robert Stanley Ferris, 71, of Hop Brook Road, Brookfield, died at his home on Friday, June 10th. He was born in Norwalk on February 22, 1940, son of the late Stanley and Julia (Mischico) Ferris. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving with the United States Army.
Bob was a heavy equipment operator for several area construction companies, and most recently worked for the Brookfield Department of Parks and Recreation. He enjoyed carpentry and gardening.
He will be missed for his sense of humor, love of telling stories, and his funny twist to common children's nursery rhymes.
Bob is survived by his children, Kelly, Julie, Lori, Bob, Cindy, Jim and Tammy; his 21 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Ferris and his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Jackie. Funeral Information
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, June 14th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations Information
