Obituary of Ida Lucille Farrell

Ida Lucille Farrell September 07, 1914 - December 27, 2005 Ida Lucille (Finger) Farrell, 91, of Secor Road, Brookfield, devoted wife of Eugene E. Farrell, went Home to the Lord on Tuesday, December 27th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Poultney, New York on September 7, 1914, daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Walters) Finger. Mrs. Farrell worked as a Senior Inspector for Barden Corporation, retiring after 38 years of employment. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield and enjoyed volunteering for any social benefits. She was a Friend of the Brookfield Library and took part in their Annual Book Sale. In the 1980's she volunteered at the Pope John Paul Center for Health Care. Ida devoted her life to service of others, compassionately giving of herself to those less fortunate. In addition to her husband of 49 years, Eugene, she is survived by her grandchildren, Douglas R. Forlastro and his wife, Loretta of Shirley, NY, and Lynn C. Camporeale and her husband Louis of Canton, CT; four great grandchildren, Timothy and Tiffany Forlastro, Christopher and Evan Camporeale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Julia Forlastro; her first husband, Renato Pasqual; and her stepmother, Bertha Finger. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, December 30th at 11:00am. Cremation and burial in Wooster Cemetery will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Friday morning between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00am.
