Obituary of Burton Charles Fancher

Burton Charles Fancher February 02, 1932 - October 17, 2007 Burton Charles Fancher, 75, passed away peacefully at home on October 17th, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born February 2, 1932, at the family home on Elizabeth Street in Bethel and was the son of the late Nelson and Ruth (Webb) Fancher. He lived in Bethel his entire life. He attended Jesse Leigh Academy and the Danbury Teachers College (now Westcon). He was an aviation structural mechanic and Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Qualitron and the town of Bethel. He worked with his brother Clarke Fancher as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family and friends. Burt is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tina Fabiano Fancher; two sons, Mark of Danbury and Steven and his wife, Kasia of Bethel; a sister, Alice Kolwicz of Bethel; a brother, Clarke of Danbury; five grandchildren, Patryk and Eryk Fancher of Bethel, Craig Bocaccio of Phoenix, AZ, Kelly Nieto of Humble, Texas, and Richard Bedient of Katy, TX; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughters, Linda Bocaccio and Karen Bedient; his brothers, Nelson and William, and his sister, Jean McCarthy. Funeral Information A small service for family and friend will be held at the Bethel Cemetery (Elmwood Section) at 2:00pm on Friday, October 26th.
