Obituary of Emily Christine Ewert

Emily Christine Ewert January 27, 1982 - April 16, 2006 Emily Christine Ewert, 24, of High Rise Road, Danbury, cherished daughter of Albert C. and Mary (Rumpel) Ewert of Danbury, died unexpectedly, as the result of an automobile accident, on Sunday, April 16th. She was born in Santa Monica, CA. on January 27, 1982 and was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 2000. Emily was a student at Western Connecticut State University, majoring in English and Professional Writing. She would have graduated in May. She worked as a server at the Inn at Newtown. After graduation, she intended to volunteer with the Peace Corps before beginning a career. Emily was well loved by many for her cheerful disposition and generous smile. She enjoyed drawing, gardening, and the company of her friends. She was a creative spirit; talented writer and her passion showed through her work. Emily's love of life extends beyond her days on earth through the lives of the people who will benefit from her gift of organ donation. In addition to her parents, Albert and Mary, she is survived by her two brothers, Albert C. Ewert IV., and William F. Ewert, her two sisters, Anne C. Ewert and C. Elise Ewert, all of Danbury; her paternal grandmother, Wilma R. Ewert of Watch Hill, RI.; her maternal grandfather, William F. Rumpel of Littleton, CO; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Marjorie (Maurer) Rumpel and her paternal grandfather, Albert C. Ewert, Jr. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Brookfield, on Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday between the hours of 12:00pm and 12:45pm. Friends are invited to join the family in wearing spring colors to celebrate Emily's passion for life.
