Obituary of John C. Eidt

John C. Eidt Jr. January 08, 1937 - December 21, 2006 John C. Eidt Jr., age 69, of Boulder Ridge West, Danbury, and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., loving husband of Stella (Panzarino) Eidt, died at his home in Danbury, on Thursday, December 21st. He was born in New York, New York on January 8, 1937, son of the late John C. and Theresa (Salmon) Eidt. He was a graduate of All Hollows High School in the Bronx, and Villanova University. John worked for the City of New York in Emergency Disaster Services, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn, NY and served as President of the Men's Club in Danbury. He enjoyed golfing, music, gardening, outdoor activities, and watching college basketball. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife of 39 years, Stella, he is survived by his cherished children, John Eidt III of Danbury, and Theresa Wiblishauser and her husband Peter of Danbury; and his granddaughter Julia Elizabeth Wiblishauser. He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert Eidt of Queens, NY and Douglas Eidt of Long Beach, Long Island; his sister-in-law, Geraldine Eidt, also of Long Beach; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm and on Wednesday, December 27th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
