Obituary of Betty Ann Durkin

Betty Ann Durkin February 05, 1935 - April 04, 2009 Betty Ann (Novicky) Durkin, formerly of Oak Ridge Gate, Danbury, wife of the late Thomas F. Durkin, died at Bethel Health Care Center on Saturday, April 4th. She was born in Danbury on February 5, 1935, daughter of the late Leo and Christine (Yurick) Novicky. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1952. Mrs. Durkin worked as a bookkeeper and sales person for Danbury Square Box for 15 years and previously worked as an awning and tent maker for Durkin's Inc. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Michael J. Durkin of New Milford, and Alan T. Durkin of Warren; her daughter, Kathleen C. Zurolo and her husband, Scott of Milford; eight grandchildren, Corey, Tyler, Tristen, Thomas, Mckenzie, and Stevie-Ann Durkin, and Amanda Zurolo; and her great grandchild, Julien Durkin. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Coutinho of Kissimmee, FL; and her brother, Lee Novicky of Port Charlotte, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 8th at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
