Obituary of Jeanette Arconti

Jeanette Arconti May 01, 1931 - January 20, 2006 Jeanette (Lobraico) Arconti, 74, of Karen Road, Danbury, wife of the late Anthony A. Arconti, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Friday, January 20th. She was born in New Fairfield on May 1, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Tomainio) Lobraico. She was a graduate of Danbury High School. Mrs. Arconti worked as a secretary for twenty-five years for the Danbury School System at Stadley Rough School. She was an active parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She also devoted herself to the care of the sacred altar linen. Mrs. Arconti enjoyed volunteering at Danbury Dialysis and Ann's Place, the Home of I Can, and was a member of the Board of Directors. She loved to golf and served as secretary of the Candlewood Valley Ladies Golf League. She was very proud of her two Holes in One. Most importantly she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to share herself and her cooking with her family. She was a civic minded person and was a friend to everyone. Her courage in facing her illness went beyond expectation and she was an example to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her son, Stephen Arconti and his wife, Tina of Danbury; her daughter, Sandra Atanasoff and her husband, Sergio of Danbury; and her three grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Arconti, and Gina Atanasoff. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Lobraico of Sherman; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 24th at St. Gregory the Great Church at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, January 23rd between the hours of 4 and 8:00pm.
