Liuntina Vale Cruz November 03, 1921 - July 26, 2009 Liuntina Vale (Coelho) Cruz Liuntina Vale (Coelho) Cruz, 87, formerly of Cozy Hollow Rd. Danbury, died Saturday, July 26, 2009 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Liuntina was born on November 03, 1921 in Pawtucket RI. She was the Wife of the late Custodio A. Cruz, and daughter of the late Joseph and Leonia (Vale) Coelho. Liuntina was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children and a loving grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was also the owner of Lee Ange Manufacturing in Danbury and was a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. She also was a resident of Maplewood and very active within that community. For the last three years, Lee has been the matriarch of the Maplewood family. She greeted each visitor who walked through the door with grace and special pride. Lee loved her Maplewood family beyond words. They could all feel her genuine joy when any one of them was coming for a visit and witnessed her warm grin as they entered the room. She especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her enthusiasm in that love was infectious to all of us. She had a special love for her sister, Angie Coelho, they were commonly called "the sisters" and they were inseparable. Lee was a special angel to many and will be missed beyond words. She is survived by her son, Philip J. Cruz and wife Sandra of Newtown, CT, her daughter Sandra Smith and Husband Robert of Newtown, CT, grandchildren, Amanda Rosa and husband Michael, Christopher Smith and wife Susan, Gregory Smith and Meghan Murray, Hollee Chontos and husband Jeffrey. She is also survived by her sister, Angelina Coelho and brother in law, Edward daCruz both of Danbury, seven great grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Liuntina is pre-deceased by her grandson, Andrew Cruz. Funeral Information A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury, with burial at St. Peter's Cemetery to follow. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday July 29, 2009 between the hours of 5:00pm and 8:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home. 247 White St. Danbury, CT.
