Obituary of Warren E. Carlson

Warren E. Carlson July 01, 1931 - October 21, 2008 Warren E. Carlson, 77, of Meadowbrook Road, Brookfield, beloved husband of Anne (Bjelko) Carlson, died at Village Crest in New Milford on Tuesday, October 21st. He was born in New Milford on July 1, 1931, son of the late Axel and Lillian (Bloomquist) Carlson. He was a graduate of New Milford High School. Mr. Carlson was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during peacetime. He worked as a product dispatcher for Hoffman Fuel Co, retiring after 38 years. He was a member of the New Milford Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and visiting the State of Vermont. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, his life long motto of "Let me live in a house by the side of the road and be a friend to man," will live on through his family. In addition to his cherished wife of 54 years, Anne, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Diane Fairclough and her husband, Michael of New Milford, Kristine Revell of Rhinebeck, NY; and his three grandchildren, Hannah, Jared and Ryan Revell. He is also survived by his two brothers, Arthur Carlson of Bridgewater, and Robert Carlson and his wife, Pearl of New Milford; his sister, Verna Svensen and her husband, Sven of Newtown; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Wayne Revell. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the New Milford Methodist Church on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Brookfield. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Friday evening between 5:00 and 8:00pm.
