Obituary of Gloria Cardita

Gloria Cardita February 22, 1930 - June 27, 2009 Gloria Cardita, of Andover Court, Brookfield, wife of the late Joseph Cardita, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, June 27th. She was born in Bronx, NY on February 22, 1930, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Amalia (D'Andrea) Natalizio. Prior to making her home in Brookfield in 2005, Gloria lived in New Rochelle, NY where she and her husband raised their two sons. She was very active in the New Rochelle community during her younger years, ran a bowling league, and was a past PTA president. In her later years, she made many good friends and neighbors in Brookfield. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. She was a devoted, lifelong Yankee fan whose passion lives on in her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Ken Cardita and his wife, Shanna of Gilbert, AZ, and Rich Cardita and his wife, Gina of Brookfield; her eight grandchildren, Jeff and his wife, Haley, Greg and his wife, Jennifer, Kyle and his wife, Natalie, Chris, Emily, Luke, Gavin and Anna Cardita; her four great grandchildren, Riane, Hayden, Braden and Treston. She is also survived by her best friend, Sr. Maureen Sullivan. She was predeceased by her brother, Pat Natalizio; and her sisters, Connie Zeoli and Dora Muzzillo. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 1st at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Hawthorne, NY. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, June 30th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
