Frederick C. Tuennecke

Frederick C. Tuennecke of Brookfield, husband of the late Madeline Tuennecke, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, October 10th. He was born in New York, NY on February 3, 1939, son of the late Frederick and Rosemary (Amrein) Tuennecke.
For several years, Mr. Tuennecke was the President of Si-Brothers Enterprise Corporation which owned Milex Tuneup Franchises. He retired from Texaco after 30 years of service in the Middle East/Far East Division. He was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield where he served on the parish council, the renew and pre-canna programs. After his retirement he spent his time visiting family and cherishing his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outside tending to his gardens.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Howe and her husband, Timothy of Brookfield, and Lauren Hess and her husband, Joseph, of Maryland; his son, Eric Tuennecke of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Amber and Erin Howe, Brendan, Michael, Dominic, and Vincent Hess. He is also survived by his sister, Irene McGrath of Long Island, NY and several nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 15th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church in Brookfield. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Thursday between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. Donations Information
