Obituary of Catherine Anne Trocola

Catherine Anne Trocola April 13, 1918 - August 25, 2009 Catherine Anne Trocola, age 91, of 11 Somers Street, Danbury, wife of the late Donald Trocola, died at Dartmouth Hospital in New Hampshire on Tuesday, August 25th. She was born in Danbury on April 13, 1918, daughter of the late George and Caroline (Dolinski) Shuflata. She was a graduate of Danbury High School. Mrs. Trocola "Mrs T" worked as a secretary in medical records for Primary Care Center in Danbury. Previously, she worked as the secretary to the Chief of Police, serving under three different Danbury chiefs. Prior to that, she also worked as a laboratory secretary at Danbury Hospital for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and a member of their senior citizen group. She was also a member of AARP, both locally and nationally, and was a past member of the St. Joseph Church Ladies Guild. She will be sadly missed by her son, Donald J. Trocola, Jr. of Charlestown, NH; her daughter, Kathleen H. Green and her husband, Phil of Goshen, UT; her grandchildren, Albert Bertelsen and Dawn Mae Neathawk and her husband Shane; her step-grandchildren, Cory and Jon Smart and Angela Estes; and two great grandchildren, Brandon and Jared Neathawk. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her two best friends Ida Eriquez and Lucille "Frenchie" Gagne. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 31st at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday morning, at 9:00am. Happy Trails Girl - we know the pearly gates have opened wide for you.
