Rachel E. Tonner died in New York City on September 4, 2003 at the age of 29. She was a former resident of Candlewood Road, New Fairfield, moving to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1990. Miss Tonner is the daughter of Kurt and Erica (Safranski) Tonner and was born in Danbury on September 1, 1974. She attended New Fairfield High School up to her sophomore year and finished High School on Block Island. She attended Boston University. While a resident of New Fairfield she attended Fanton Dance Studio.
Besides her parents of Block Island she is survived by her brothers; Eric Tonner of Danbury and Kristofer and his wife Karen Tonner of Atlanta Georgia; an uncle, Niles Tonner of Block Island and an aunt, Marcia Tonner of Weston; two cousins also survive. Funeral Information
Memorial Services will take place on Friday, October 3rd at 3:00pm at St. Andrew Church, Chapel Street, Block Island. The Cornell Memorial is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
