Obituary of James E. Sullivan

James E. Sullivan September 30, 1935 - January 13, 2010 James E. Sullivan, 74, of Danbury, died at New Milford Hospital on Wednesday, January 13th. He was born in Danbury on September 30, 1935, son of the late Patrick E. and Marie (Murphy) Sullivan. He attended Danbury Schools and worked as a hatter for Mallory Hat Co in Danbury. Mr. Sullivan was a quiet man with a gentle nature and a bright smile for all he came in contact with. He will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Edwina Casher and her husband, Michael of North Haven, and Jacqueline Ruggiero and her husband, Joseph of Danbury; his two nephews, Michael Casher, Jr and John Ruggiero; and his niece, Suzanne Lantieri. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Sullivan; and his nephew, Tommy Casher. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 16th at 9:00am at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm.
