Obituary of Frank Silvestrino

Frank Silvestrino April 11, 1911 - April 15, 2009 Frank P. Silvestrino, age 98, of Possum Drive, New Fairfield, devoted husband of Marie D. (Spero) Silvestrino, died peacefully at his daughter's home in Sherman. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 11, 1911, son of the late Ralph and Jenny Silvestrino. Frank worked as a truck driver for Burke Supply in Brooklyn, NY. He went back to work at the age of 80, for Grand Union in New Fairfield. He loved being with people and keeping active. He continued to drive his car until the age of 96. He was a devout Christian and loved reading his Bible daily. In addition to his beloved wife, Marie, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Joan Badaracco and her husband, Dominic of Sherman, and Bonita Silvestrino of New Fairfield; his three granddaughters, Renee Barca and her husband, Paul, Andrea Taylor and her husband, Don, and Joan Marie Perrone; his four great granddaughters; as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his son, Gerald Silvestrino. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21st at 10:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, April 20th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
