Obituary of Beverly Schirmer

Beverly Schirmer February 04, 1936 - May 28, 2009 Beverly Schirmer, of Main Street, Danbury, died peacefully at Harborside Glen Hill on Thursday, May 28th. She was born in Danbury on February 4, 1936, daughter of the late John and Eva (Hancock) Schirmer. She was a graduate of Danbury High School. In her youth, she was a professional tap dancer and later volunteered as a Mariner Girl Scout Leader. Beverly previously worked at Carvette School of Music, Davis and Geck, Danbury Savings and Loan, and most recently at the Union Savings Bank. She enjoyed bowling, Country music, cooking and reading. She will be sadly missed by her niece and God Child, Linda Felber and her husband, Bill; her nieces, Jacqueline Oleson, and Debra Oleson and her husband, Richard; her grandnephew, Frank; her cousins, Carole Laverdure and her husband, Jack, Nils Gyllensten and his wife, Sharon, Nancy Parent, John Hancock, Roger Schirmer, Claudette Novella and her husband, Robert, Jacqueline Laverdure and her husband, Eric Shouten, and Ashley Novella; as well as several other Hancock and Shirmer cousins. She is also survived by her special friends who helped her during her illness, Gloria, Dina, Loretta, Mary, Mary Ellen, DJ, and Marie C., who was with her when she passed. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 12th at 10:30 am at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Interment of cremains will follow in Wooster Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
