Obituary of Pauline F. Sathre

Pauline F. Sathre May 02, 1923 - April 06, 2006 Pauline F. (Jankowski) Sathre, 82, of Deer Run Road, Brookfield, wife of the late Sven Sathre, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, April 6th. She was born in Brooklyn, NY., on May 2, 1923, daughter of the late Stanislas and Mary Jankowski. She raised her family in Farmingdale, Long Island and made her home in Brookfield for the last 37 years. In her early years Mrs. Sathre worked as a bookkeeper for Thomas Wilson Company in New York City. She later devoted herself to maintaining the family home and raising her four cherished children. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her two cats. Mrs. Sathre will be sadly missed by her two sons, Steven Sathre of Brookfield, Scott Sathre of Baltimore, MD; her two daughters, Susan Linstrum or Waterbury, and Karen Berke of Providence, RI; her two grandsons, Daniel and Christopher Linstrum. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Jankowski. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 10th at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Cremation and interment will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, April 9th between the hours of 4 and 7pm.
