Obituary of Joseph E. Pudelko

Joseph E. Pudelko July 18, 1935 - December 24, 2009 Joseph E. Pudelko, age 74 of Danbury, went home to God on Christmas Eve December 24th, at Danbury hospital. He was the husband of Ethel-Tunnie (Wilcox) Pudelko for 37 years and the papa too his many feline residence. Mr. Pudelko was born in Danbury on July 18, 1935, son of the late Andrew and Eleanor (Bahr) Pudelko. On June 10th 1972, he became the son in law of the late Everett and Ethel Wilcox. He had been employed at USS Chemicals as a cost account until he resigned early due to his many medical conditions. Later in Life he became the manager of Pudelko Cabins of New Fairfield for 23 years. He served this country in the US Army from August 1959 to 1965, and was stationed in Berlin, Germany during the raising of the Berlin wall. As a life time resident of Danbury, he graduated from Sacred Heart School, Danbury High School and the University of Connecticut in Storrs. He loved the UCONN Huskies basketball teams, followed them both and made bus trips every year to see them. He is survived by two sisters; Eleanor Miller and her husband Brent; Dorothy Carvalho and her husband Norman, three brothers, John and his wife Patricia; Francis and his wife Florence; Edward and his wife Linda. His beloved 6 nieces and nephews and special joy of life 10 great nieces and nephews. The god father of Susan Pudelko Edmond and James C. Reynolds. Other very special people that held a place in his heart where the Szymanski and Zarra families and Alfonso Trocola was a much loved step-father. He was a member of the Beaver Brook Volunteer Fire Company for 52 years and was most recently the Treasurer. Joseph was a lifetime Parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30th at the Sacred Heart Church of Danbury at 11:00am with Burial at St. Peter's Cemetery of Danbury, to follow. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29th between the hours of 6pm and 9pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury.
