Obituary of Jackson S. Potter

Jackson S. Potter April 20, 1925 - September 24, 2006 Jackson S. Potter, 81, of Hopbrook Road, Brookfield, husband of the late Elizabeth (Davidson) Potter, died at Candlewood Valley Nursing Home, New Milford, on Sunday, September 24th. He was born in Newton, MA., on April 20, 1925, son of the late William A. and Mary R. (Tedstone) Potter. He was a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Mr. Potter was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Marine Corps in the Mortar Gunner 607. He was a self employed Mortgage Banker and Real Estate Broker, owning and operating Hartwell - Stewart Company in Brookfield. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield. He enjoyed European travel and Jazz Festivals. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Elizabeth Donovan of Florida; his three sons, John Potter and his wife, Pam of Ohio, Peter Potter and his wife, Susan of Wilton, and David Potter and his wife, Jill, with whom he made his home. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Donovan, Timothy Donovan, Erin Donovan, Sean Potter, Brian Potter and Andrew Potter; his great grandson, Tyler; as well as his companion and friend Charlene Robarge. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of Brookfield on Friday, September 29th at 11:00am. Cremation and interment will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Thursday evening between the hours of 6 and 8pm.
