December 12, 1912 - November 22, 2006
"Born twelve-twelve-twelve in Ayr, spelled A..Y..R, that's in Scotland", she
loved to answer, with a twinkle in her eye, when anyone asked her date of
birth. Elizabeth Rankin McClymont (Betty) was the youngest of seven
children of Daniel and Catherine (Cowan) McClymont.
After immigrating to the United States from Scotland in 1929, Betty married
Henry H. Nusser in 1934. They lived in Queens, (Astoria, Kew Garden Hills
and Forest Hills) New York and had a summer home in Brookfield, CT. After
the death of her husband in 1968, she moved to Brookfield year round.
She married Harry Heniger at the Congregational Church of Brookfield in
1980, and they lived in West Palm Beach, Florida. Harry died in 1987, and
in 1999, she returned to Connecticut.
She is survived by her son, Leonard W. Nusser, Sr., of Brookfield;
grandchildren, Leonard W. Nusser, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Johnsburg, IL.,
Henry E. Nusser and his wife, Kim of Brookfield, Peter E. Nusser of
Brookfield, and Catherine E. Nusser of Naples, FL and twelve
great-grandchildren, Anna Rose, Leonard W. III (Will), Carly, Elizabeth
(Elly), Marian, Ashley, Margaret (Marge), Ryan, Rebecca, Wyatt, Korey, and
