Obituary of William Henry Morrison

William Henry Morrison Sr. November 02, 1930 - May 06, 2008 William Henry Morrison, Sr., age 77, longtime resident of Danbury, devoted husband of Rose Marie (Bosko) Morrison, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, May 6th. He was born in Redding on November 2, 1930, son of the late Caroline (Morrison) Booth. Bill was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in Germany with the United States Army. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Association, and the American Legion in Richford, Vermont. Bill worked for the city for most of his life, retiring from the Danbury Airport Ground Crew in 1992. His community affiliations included many years of service on the Beaver Brook Volunteer Fire Department and the Crosby Manor Association. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, participating in city softball, bowling, and horseshoe leagues. He also had a passion for professional football and NASCAR racing. In addition to his loving wife of 10 years, Rose, he will be sadly missed by his son, William Morrison, Jr and his wife, Marguerite; his two daughters, Norma Fearn and Carol Stavola; his four grandchildren, Kimberly Do, Candice, Patrick and Mary Stavola; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Frederick Booth, Sr.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, May 10th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00pm. Donations Information Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #0012, Richford, Vermont.
