James F. Miller of Southbury passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 58 years of Jean Miller, he is also survived by five loving children, James Miller of Southbury, Carol Harris of Clearwater FL,
Robert Miller of Hingham MA ,Roger Miller of Brookfield, Richard Miller of Sherman and fourteen beautiful grandchildren.
Jim was born in New York City on July 25, 1924 and graduated from New York schools before serving honorably in the U.S. Army during W.W.II in the European Theatre of Operations.
He retired after a long career with the Danbury Post Office in 1989. Jim had a life long love of trains and was a founding member of the Danbury Railroad museum. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday February 12th , at St.Marguerite Bourgeoys Church,138 Candlewood Lake Rd., Brookfield. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in New Milford. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information
Contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the Danbury Railway Museum, White Street, Danbury, CT 06810 or to the donor's choice.
