Eric P. Miglinas

Eric P. Miglinas of Brookfield, beloved son of Vito and Jane (Kopec) Miglinas, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 9th. He was born on November 16, 1957, and was a graduate of Brookfield High School, Class of 1976.
Eric proudly served in the United States Army 1st 75th Ranger Battalion, 82nd Airborne, as well as in the Special Forces and Delta Forces. He was a recipient of the Meritorious Service Award, Expert Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. During his time with the military, he was an Instructor for POW Survival School, Dragon Weapons System, and was an ROTC Instructor in Fort Bragg, NC.
Eric worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation for 17 years. He was a parishioner of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister, Usher, and other prayer ministries in the church. He was also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus through St. Marguerite.
Most importantly, Eric had a generous heart who shared himself openly with those around him. He loved to help anyone in need, and never expected anything in return. He loved his family, and his faith was an important part of who he was.
In addition to his parents, Vito and Jane, he will be sadly missed by his two brothers, Kurt Miglinas and his wife, Joan of Cambridge, VT, Guy Miglinas and his fiance, Tracey of New Fairfield; his sister, Lynn Lehouiller and her husband, Alan of VT; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Miglinas and his wife, Amy , Kristen and Mikal-Lyn Miglinas, Kara Dunn and her husband, Jesse, Krista, Paige and Alexis Miglinas, Cole, Remi, and Banks Lehouiller; his great nieces and nephews, Bella, Siri, Sam, Effie, James and Simon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 15th at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Sunday, November 14th between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00pm. Donations Information
