Obituary of Rose V. McNamee

Rose V. McNamee July 29, 1922 - April 23, 2007 Rose V. (McDaid) McNamee, 84, of Frandon Drive, Danbury, wife of the late John McNamee, died peacefully at her home, on Monday, April 23rd. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 29, 1922, daughter of the late William and Matilda (Donnelly) McDaid. Mrs. McNamee was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and a former parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury. She was a member of AARP. Her gentle nature and sense of humor will be missed by her two sons, Dennis J. McNamee and his wife, Barbara of Lee, NH; Dr. Michael J. McNamee, MD and his wife, Anne of West Hartford; her two daughters, Rosemary Bouffard and her husband, Denis of Danbury; and Susan Schullery and her husband, Robert of Kent; her seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece, Patricia Monreal of PA, whom she raised; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and their families. Funeral Information The funeral will be conducted from the Cornell Memorial Home on Friday, April 27th at 10:15am to St. Gregory the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, April 26th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
