Obituary of Gary Wayne Marcus

Gary Wayne Marcus December 07, 1948 - June 18, 2011 Gary W. Marcus Gary Wayne Marcus, 62, of New Milford, loving husband of 41 years to Michele Lenore (Morsillo) Marcus, died Saturday, June 18th at Danbury Hospital. He was born December 7, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late David and Frances (Abraham) Marcus. Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as maintenance supervisor for Sealed Air Corp. in Danbury and then at Chromatics in Bethel. He was a longtime tradesman who loved teaching others his skills. The people that he worked with were like his second family and he truly enjoyed working with them. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, boating, skiing, snow shoeing and kayaking. He was a huge Yankee's and Giants fan. He really enjoyed his life and sharing it all with his family. Gary's philosophy was that life should be measured by the life in your years and not the years of your life. Along with his wife, Gary is survived by his two sons, Adam B. Marcus and his wife Victoria of New Fairfield and Matthew S. Marcus and his wife Marcia of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, Jack, Jessica, Sonni and Monique; one brother, Scott Marcus and his wife Barbara of Gig Harbor, WA and one sister Judith Marcus of New York, NY and one niece, Danielle. Funeral Information Funeral services for Gary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 22nd at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 22nd at the funeral home. Donations Information The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gary's name to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
