Obituary of Ernest M. Luisi

Ernest M. Luisi October 16, 1916 - March 24, 2007 Ernest M. Luisi, 90, of Satterlee Road, New Fairfield, beloved husband of Dolores (Fairchild) Luisi, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, March 24th. He was born in Mount Vernon, New York on October 16, 1916, son of the late John F. and Anna (DiPalma) Luisi. Mr. Luisi attended school in Mount Vernon. He was employed by Eastchester Savings Bank from 1950 until 1981. Upon retirement he and his first wife, Anna, made their home in the Danbury area. Playing golf and swimming were his two favorite pastimes. He had a quick sense of humor and a good heart. He was very loved and will be sadly missed by his family. In addition to his cherished wife of 19 years, Dolores, he is survived by his three children, John N. Luisi and his wife, Susan of Inverness, IL, Rita L. Wallace and her husband, Joseph of Danbury, and Jeannette L. Ross and her husband, Robin of Holmes, NY; his stepson, Charles Fairchild and his wife, Nancy of New Fairfield. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his brother, T. Robert Luisi of Fanwood, NJ. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anna (Gearity) Luisi; and his brother, John F. Luisi, Jr. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 27th at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY, will follow. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, is in charge of arrangements.
