Obituary of Eleanor Lucia

Eleanor (Wilcox) Lucia April 16, 1915 - January 21, 2006 Eleanor (Wilcox) Lucia, 90, of Danbury, wife of the late Theron Lucia, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, January 21st. She was born in Danbury on April 16, 1915, daughter of the late Harrison and Lydia (Paddock) Wilcox. She was a lifetime member of the Danbury community. Mrs. Lucia was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and enjoyed being active in the senior groups at both St. Gregory and St. Joseph. She took part in St. Gregory Minstrels and loved to play Bingo and take senior trips. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rosemarie Babyak and her husband William of Danbury; her grandchildren, Patricia Bailey and her husband Eric of New Milford, and William Babyak and his wife, Sara of Danbury; her stepson Richard Rilling and his wife, Jean of Norwalk; her great grandchildren, Shannon Bailey and Ryan Babyak; and her stepgranson, Zachary Rilling. She is also survived by her sisters, Lillian Dickens and Claire Warner, both of Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Leo and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26th at St. Gregory the Great Church at 10:00am. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday, January 25th between the hours of 4 and 6pm.
