Obituary of Mamie Ladson

Mamie (Floyd) Ladson August 31, 1924 - November 03, 2005 Mamie (Floyd) Ladson, 81, of Bell's Place, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, November 3rd. She was the wife of Dan Ladson of Savannah, Georgia. Mamie attended school in Savannah, Georgia, at an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was Baptized at the Brampton Baptist Church in Savannah. In 1956 Mamie relocated to Danbury where she joined New Hope Baptist Church. She worked as a domesticate for years. She later became employed at Danbury Hospital where she was faithfully employed for ten years. She loved to cook, clean and spend time with her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Hancen Louise Greenidge of Columbus, GA;; her brother, Roscoe Floyd of Savannah; her son-in-law, Jay Danzy of Danbury; and her six grandchildren, Cedric Williams, Chevz Nelson and her husband Hardyman, Gerald Danzy and his wife, Tammy, Paul Small II, DaRell Aldridge, and Malcolm Greenidge; twelve great grandchildren, Sharina Danzy, Cedric Williams, Jr., Anthony Myers, Thomas Williams, Gerald Danzy, Jr., Mercedes Williams, Jaleesa Harrigan, Marrcus Danzy, Milandra Nelson, Ja'nae Small, Paul R. Small, III, and Gianna Danzy. She is also survived by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and her very dear, close friend, Beulah "Shirley" Watson. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mildred Danzy. Funeral Information A Home Going Celebration will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, Danbury, on Tuesday, November 8th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the church between the hours of 10:00am and 11:00am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
