Thomas J. Kelleher

Thomas J. Kelleher, 69, of Danbury, died on Saturday, December 4th at Sharon Hospital. He was born in Bronx, NY on December 17, 1940, son of the late Daniel and Mary (Donovan) Kelleher.
Mr. Kelleher worked as a custodial engineer for the New York City Board of Education. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Danbury.
He was an avid sports fan, especially football and the New York Giants. He enjoyed puzzles, cross words, playing Solitaire and sharing snacks with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his former wife and caregiver, Peggy Kelleher of Danbury; his son, Thomas D. Kelleher and his wife, Patty of Sandy Hook; his four daughters, Marybeth Lopez of Brookfield, Lori-Ann Kelleher of New Milford, Laura Kelleher of Torrington, and Michelle Herbest and her husband, Jesse of Torrington; and his six grandchildren, Megan, Alison and Shannon Kelleher, Nicholas and Rachel Lopez, and Gwenyth Herbest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7th at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Monday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
