I had the privilege of working with Inspector Dalessio at the State's Attorney's Office in Danbury, and it was with great sadness that I learned of his passing. He consistently demonstrated the values of integrity, honesty, fairness and hard work, and served as an example for those around him. Most recently I had an opportunity to speak with him while he was caring for his ailing wife, and his devotion and support were both earnest and touching, a reminder for all of the best that is within us.

Lorin and Chris:
Deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your father. Tony worked with my husband, Mario, at Troop A, many years ago and my heart is full of so many wonderful memories shared with your Dad and Mom. I remember summer parties at your grandparents' beautiful home with delicious food and laughter flowing. We also went away for weekend trips with your parents and had so much fun. I last saw Tony at your Mom's wake and I know he took such good care of her - he was a good man. They are now together.
May you find peace in the wonderful memories of your parents.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

I have been a police officer for over 40 years. I first met Tony while on my second day of patrol with Ct. State Police Auxiliary Troop A. I was told to stay in the car at a car accident on I-84. Tony responded and yelled at me for being in the car. Hours late at the troop he asked me to explain myself. I did and from that day on we were friends. He was a great trooper, investigator and a mentor for me. He will be surely missed.

Deepest condolences to the family. Tony was one of the best cops and SA Inspector that I ever had the privilege to work with. As a young cop, he helped me many, many times in my early career and I always remembered him, and held him in such high regard. He was one of the best and he will be missed.

I am and remain shocked and saddened to read about the passing of Anthony (Tony) Dalessio. I remember Tony as a kind and gracious gentleman, a very talented and professional law enforcement officer and all around tremendous guy. From the time I assumed command of the Western Connecticut State University Police Department, Tony was always supportive and would periodically stop by my office just to say "Hey Chief" and "let me know if there is anything I can help you with". Tony was truly a good man. My deepest condolences to the Dalessio family. May Tony rest in peace.

My condolences to the Dalessio family. I had the pleasure of working with "Tony"while he was assigned to the State's Attorney's Office in Danbury. When questions arose during and investigation you would be asked, "Did you call Tony?" Tony would have the information you were seeking or was able to get it for you and always with a smile. Should the question arise in the future you were able to respond with, "Tony said." and that would settle the discussion. You were always greeted with his kind and friendly smile. I am sure that will be missed by all he knew. God Bless.

Tony was a wonderful giving humorous , man. I remember waiting on him back in the days, at Ciao Cafe. We all called him Uncle Tony, and we made him laugh and drove him crazy in a fun way. If you had a problem, he would always offer his help! Tony was a wonderful person!

We have such fond memories of Tony. He was a determined investigator, a good teacher, and a great friend. His strong work ethic was inspirational. His khaki pants and blue oxford shirts were legendary in the Danbury State's Attorney's Office and we will cherish the photos of his last day at work when we all dressed "Tony-style," My father had passed away before our wedding; Tony was so willing to be among our friends who "gave me away," and that was an honor we both so very appreciated. We are unable to be at the January 14 service but will hold Tony and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

As a young cop in New Fairfield, and then as a state cop assigned to Troop A, Tony D was perhaps the person who had the biggest influence on my career. While I still have many friends in CT law enforcement, I cherished my friendship with Tony; obviously I was stunned and saddened to learn of his passing. While I'm soon to be moving back to CT, I will not be able to attend his memorial service as I'm still living in SC. My thoughts will be with you during his service. Rest in peace, Tony. You were the best, Major (Ret.) Peter Warren, CT State Police

I am so saddened by the loss of Tony, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time. My Wife, Cathy, worked with Tony's daughter, Lorin, and she knows how much love she had for her dad and how highly she thought of him. I worked many years with Tony within the State Police Major Crime Squad during his tenure as an Inspector. His knowledge and professionalism were always appreciated and respected by everyone who worked with him. He was truly one of the nicest guys to work with.
Our prayers go out for peace and comfort to his family and loved ones,
