Obituary of Timothy P. Camp
Timothy P. Camp, 60, of Jersey City, NJ, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, October 5th. He was born in Augusta, Georgia on January 20, 1956, beloved son of Nancy E. (Roberds) Camp of New Fairfield and the late Peter M. Camp. He was a graduate of Immaculate High School, Class of 1974, and Western Connecticut State University.
Tim was currently Assistant Director for Sports Information for New Jersey Institute of Technology. In the early years of his career he worked for his alma matter, WCSU, and then St. Peter University in New Jersey.
Tim was an avid sports fan who enjoyed being a spectator and was also a talented sports writer.
In addition to his mother, Nancy, he will be sadly missed by his sister, Martha Camp of New Fairfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends in New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14th at 11:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm.
