Anne Gormley, 66, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, March 3rd. She was born in Bronx, NY on December 3, 1944, daughter of the late Richard J. and Roberta (Koblish) Gormley. Anne lived in Westchester, NY prior to making her home in Danbury in 2005.
Anne worked for many years as a legal assistant for Dress Barn Corporate Headquarters in Suffern, NY. Upon retirement, she devoted her time to caring for her five cherished grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Peter Bringman and his wife, Jennifer of Danbury; her daughter, Elizabeth Giorgi and her husband, Christopher with whom she made her home in Danbury; her five grandchildren, Amanda, Emma, and Madeline Bringman, Ashley and Christopher Giorgi, Jr; her brother, Richard Gormley, and his wife, Lillian of FL; and her two sisters, Patricia Dorchak and her husband, Charles of NY and Maria Kaiser and her husband, Greg of FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, in appreciation for their loving care, contributions be directed to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund, 11 East Oncology Staff, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.
