Obituary of Louis C. Gaboardi

Louis C. Gaboardi December 04, 1950 - March 26, 2010 Louis C. Gaboardi Jr, 59, passed away on March 26, 2010. He was a Danbury resident all his life. He was born on December 4, 1950, beloved son of Marion (Tannone) Gaboardi of Danbury, and the late Louis C. Gaboardi, Sr. Louis, who was known to all as Louie, was an avid gambler and sports-man. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, and all types of music. His favorite sport to play was golf and his favorite sport to bet on was horse-racing. Louie graduated Danbury High School in 1968 and then went onto the Navy from 1969 to 1973. From there, he went onto receive a Bachelors degree in mathematics from West Conn. College in 1976. He has worked at Danbury Hospital since 1974 and was a zone leader with building services. He is known by many for his sense of humor and his thorough work ethic. He had many friends and will be truly missed. In addition to his mother, Marion, with whom he made his home, he will be sadly missed by his brother, James Gaboardi and his wife, Dorothy of Danbury; his sister, Mary Lou Gauvin of Lincoln, MA; his three nieces, Michelle Gauvin, Debbie Henriques and her husband, Mack, and Karen Kraft and her husband, David; his nephew, Kevin Gaboardi and his wife, Linda; as well as several great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his dear friends John Carlson, Henry Louis, and John Morehouse. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, March 30th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning between 10:00 and 11:00am.
