Obituary of William G. Falis

William G. Falis July 26, 1958 - July 11, 2010 William G. Falis, age 51, of New Milford, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, July 11th, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Danbury on July 26, 1958, son of the late George and Helen (Gaylord) Falis. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and Rhode Island College. Mr. Falis worked as a radiation therapist at Danbury Hospital for 15 years, and then as a medical assistant for several area doctors. He was a member of AA and was proud to be three years sober. He is survived by his son, Adam Falis of Bethel; his two sisters, Betty Chiarella and her husband, Philip of Danbury, and Linda Elder and her husband, Joseph of Fayetteville, GA; as well as his niece, Kathleen D'Autorio and nephew, Joshua Chiarella. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17th at 10:30am at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Cremation and interment in St. Peter Cemetery will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
