Frances M. DiLauro
June 26, 1924 - May 23, 2010
Frances M. (Paolillo) DiLauro, of Brookfield, devoted wife of the late Frank DiLauro, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 23rd. She was born and raised in Jamaica, NY on June 26, 1924, daughter of the late Nicholas and Elvira (Dello Joio) Paolillo.
After their marriage, Frank and Frances moved to Floral Park, LI where she devoted her life to raising her family. Fran was passionate about her family and enjoyed delighting them with her culinary skills. She was an avid gardener and, until recently, had also been an avid golfer who had a hole-in-one at the Sand's Point Country Club in 1985.
She will be sadly missed by her beloved sons, Frank (Skip) and his wife, Eileen of New Fairfield, and Ron and his wife, Pat of New Milford; her loving grandchildren, Paul DiLauro and his wife, Ada, Valerie Durney and her husband, Kip, Christine DiLauro, and Keith DiLauro. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Alexandra, Danielle, Ava, Zoe and Connor.
Fran was predeceased by her five brothers. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 27th at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Cremation will take place and interment in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Wednesday evening between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
