Richard "Ricky" Vitols, 57, of Danbury, beloved son of Elvira (Dabolins) Vitols and the late William Vitols, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 8th. He was born in New York, NY on June 20, 1953.
Ricky worked as a packer for A&P, was a member of the VFCW Union, and was involved with Ability Beyond Disability. He proudly represented Connecticut in the Special Olympics, swimming, at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. He enjoyed bowling and won many awards.
In addition to his mother, Elvira, he will be sadly missed by his niece Joslyn Jansons; his nephew, Max Jansons; and his sister-in-law, Karen Jansons.
He was predeceased by his brother, Andrejs Jansons. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday (TODAY) at 1:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Interment of cremains will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations Information
