Michele Ann (Temperino) Kozel, 47, a resident of Brookfield for the last 10 years, died peacefully Sunday evening at Danbury Hospital after a long, courageous battle with lung disease.
Michele was born on July 15, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of Gasper "Tim" and Michaline (Smigleski) Temperino of Scranton, PA. Michele was a graduate of Pittson Area High School and attended classes at Lackawanna College, Scranton. She was the wife of Edward R. Kozel and the couple was married on May 9, 1992 in Avoca, PA. She was a homemaker and was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Along with her husband of 18 years and her parents, Michele is survived by 1 son, Nicholas Kozel of Brookfield; 1 sister, Linda Temperino of New York, NY; her father-in-law, A. Edward Kozel and his wife Diane of Brookfield; her Mother-in-law, Maryann Kozel of Verona, NJ; 1 brother-in-law, Christopher Kozel also of Verona, NJ; 1 aunt and several cousins. She is predeceased by her brother, Paul Temperino.

The family will receive friends at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 138 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield on Thursday, April 14th from 5 - 7 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 7 P.M. the same day. Cremation will be at the direction of the family. Donations Information
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michele's name to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
