Blanche was predeceased by two brothers, Zigmund and Edward and one sister, Pearl.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Bethel Health Care who provided exceptional care to Blanche.
Blanche Mary (Miklaszewski) Maroto, 83, died Wednesday, May 18th. Blanche was born in Dixon City, PA on June 16, 1927, the daughter of Zigmund and Mary (Lidowski) Miklaszewski. She is the wife of the late Joseph Maroto.
Blanche was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved cousin, Adeline Urbanowicz. Blanche especially enjoyed spending holidays with her family, watching the Yankees with her daughter Lisa, and trips to Mohegan Sun. Blanche was a devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury.
Blanche is survived by her son Michael A. Maroto and his wife, Marie, of Naugatuck; three daughters, Mary M. Maroto and Lisa M. Maroto of Danbury and Dr. Jo-Ann J. Soltis and her husband Dr. Robert Soltis of Newtown; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa and Jessica Maroto, Gary and William and his wife Asta Driscoll and Grace and Gabrielle Soltis; one great granddaughter, Ava Rose Maroto; one sister Jean Kowelski of Danbury and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Blanche will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage St. Danbury with burial following at St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20th at 5 to 8 pm at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury. Donations Information
The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Blanche's name to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage St., Danbury.
