
Obituary of Josephine T. Yorio
Danbury – Josephine T. “Aunt Theresa” (Pacific) Yorio, age 94, of Danbury died Thursday March 9,2023 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph Yorio.
Mrs. Yorio was born July 28,1928 in Brewster, New York daughter of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Fiore) Pacific. She was retired after working as a Supervisor at Risdon Mfg. in Danbury for over 45 years, was an active communicant of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Danbury and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Anyone who met Theresa loved her.
Mrs. Yorio is survived by her sister: Michelina “Mickey” Placella, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and numerous friends. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her siblings Michael F. Pacific, Louise Oviatt and two sisters named Mamie Pacific.
Mrs. Yorio’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 16,2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury.
