Obituary of Lillian Katherine Covill

Lillian K. Covill, 100, of Brookfield, wife of the late George Covill, Sr., died at The Villages in Brookfield on Tuesday, February 28th.  She was born in Danbury on April 11, 1922, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Madden) Fisher.  She was a graduate of Danbury High School.

Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She always enjoyed crafts. For many years she gave ceramic lessons from the basement of her home. She also enjoyed oil painting and watched Bob Ross on TV along with the Game show Network. Lillian learned quilting and made and donated quilts for Newborn family members, which became a family affair.

One of her favorite outdoor past times was fishing.  She LOVED it.  If her Granddaughter, Brenda, called her on the phone and said "I'll be by in an hour to pick you up to go fishing"  Mom would have all her fishing gear packed up, ready and waiting.  She enjoyed family gatherings and picnics, too.

She will be sadly missed by her five children, Dorothy Bartram (Basil), William J. (Fern), Keith (Diane), Alan (Donna), and Kathleen White (Bob); 18 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Lillian will be sorely missed by her brother Bob Fisher.

She was predeceased by her three children, Richard, Bruce, and George.

There are no formal services.  Cremation and interment in Central Cemetery, Brookfield will be at a later date.  Memorial contributions in Lillians name, may be made to The Congregational Church of Brookfield.  And  America Cancer Society.
