Obituary of Dorothy L Carvalho

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy (Pudelko) Carvalho.  Born to Andrew and Eleanor (Barr) Pudelko on November 19, 1939 in Danbury.  Married to Norman on October 24, 1964, celebrating 57 years together until his passing just four months ago in June 2022.

Born in 1939, Dorothy always joked she was “39 Forever” when celebrating her birthday.  She was an avid New York Yankees fan who celebrated every win and after every loss would state “they stink.”

Dorothy graduated from Danbury High School in 1957, worked for Food Fair Market as a cashier and Union Trust and Wells Fargo banks as a Customer Service and as a teller for many years.  She also assisted her husband, Norman with A&S Auto Sales & Towing as his bookkeeper.  Dorothy was involved with the local AARP 1847 as a board member and always enjoyed taking day bus trips with the organization, often traveling with her brother Joey prior to his passing.

Survived by sons Norman Carvalho, Jr., and David Carvalho (Katie); she was a proud NaNa to Joseph and Mattingly Carvalho.  She is also survived by her brothers John Pudelko and Ed Pudelko (Linda); her sister Eleanor Miller (Brenton); sisters-in-law Ethel and Florence Pudelko; brothers-in-law, Ed (Joyce) and Ray Carvalho (Bernie); as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
